Conditions Treated in PHP
There are two separate PHP treatment tracks here at Healthy U: One for those working through mental health disorders and one for those looking to recover from substance use disorder.
If you’re working through mental health and substance use challenges, we also have a dual-diagnosis treatment track so you can receive the comprehensive care you need.

Substance Use Disorders
Our PHP for substance use disorder assists those battling addiction. If you’re ready to overcome:

- Synthetic drugs, including bath salts and GHB
Or any other drug addiction, our intensive program offers the structure, guidance, and tools you need to succeed.
What to Expect in PHP
Should our admissions team determine PHP is the best place to start your recovery journey, here’s what to expect:
Within 72 hours of being admitted into PHP, you’ll receive a psychiatric evaluation that may include medication management. Everyone must complete this step, as it helps us ensure the treatment plan we’re tailoring to you best sets you up for long-term success.
Once you begin, PHP requires a minimum attendance of five days per week, Monday to Friday, six hours each day, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Adhering to this schedule is especially important if you plan to use insurance, as it’s often required to meet medical necessity standards.
While sporadic absences may not affect your treatment authorization by your provider, consistent attendance and engagement with the program are necessary for ongoing approval.
Over the course of your treatment (how long PHP lasts varies from person to person), you’ll participate in a variety of therapeutic and skill-building sessions that promote healing, growth, and long-term stability. Your treatment plan may also include:
- Individual and/or family therapy
- Medication-assisted treatment (we do not offer methadone)
- Routine drug testing for both accountability and to verify medication levels
- Community resource connections
- Assistance with sober living arrangements if needed, including transportation
Complimentary Support for Families
Recovery is not a journey taken alone. That’s why we offer free virtual support groups. Because those in treatment are not permitted to attend these sessions, family members have a supportive space in which to freely share their own thoughts and challenges. It’s also a resource for learning how to support your loved one’s recovery.
However, because mental health or substance use disorder is a deeply personal experience, permission from the person being treated is required before family members can attend.
Our virtual family support group meets Wednesdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
What’s After PHP?
After completing Partial Hospitalization Programming, many transition into a lower level of care, such as Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) or virtual therapy for continued support. Your care team will determine the length of PHP, as well as the next best steps for your unique journey.
Support From Alumni
At Healthy U, you’re not just entering a treatment program. You’re joining a supportive community dedicated to healing and recovery that will support you throughout your lifetime. Once you’ve completed your Healthy U treatment plan, you’ll have access to our alumni group.
Our alumni group meets every other Monday, with both virtual and in-person sessions available.
