JM Evosevich
Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder PhD, LMFT, CADC, BCBA, RN
Dr. Evosevich has more than 30 years of experience working in healthcare, mental health, with a specialization in addiction. He has successfully worked with men, women, adolescents, Veterans, and the LGBTQ community creating individualized care for people with mental health and substance abuse disorders. Dr. Evosevich frequently speaks at professional conferences and is a published author of professional articles and books on mental health and substance abuse.

Bryan Amaro
Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder DNP, PMHNP-BC
Bryan is a Doctorate prepared, board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Prior to co-founding Sober Life in 2018, Bryan worked as a critical care nurse for over 5 years in ICU’s all over San Diego County. He has seen first hand where the depths of addiction can lead causing him realize that he could increase his impact in the community by working with mental health and substance abuse conditions. He is relentless and passionate about mental health, substance abuse and seeing people at their highest potential.

Jess Hudson
Chief Clinical Officer MS, LMFT
Jess has spent significant time in various facets within the behavioral health field including outpatient clinic programs, crisis management, private practice, case management and leadership training and development. She takes pride in providing a genuine, non-judgmental, and lighthearted approach to those struggling with both mental health and substance use disorders. Jess also specializes in LGBTQ+/GSRD (Gender, Sexuality, and Relationship Diverse) issues and loves cats.

John Moisant
Chief Marketing Officer
John is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He graduated Basic Training with the highest overall standing while leading his unit there and then aboard USCGC Morgenthau. After transitioning to the civilian sector John held management positions across several industries amassing over a decade of leadership experience. His affinity for analytics and problem solving coupled with his passion for recovery make him invaluable to our community.

Jessica DeJulio
Chief Compliance Officer BA
Jessica has extensive compliance experience in the behavioral health and substance abuse treatment industry. She has directed facilities in on-site State audits and Joint Commission surveys for 20+ organizations throughout California. She has a 100% success rate in DHCS Certification and Joint Commission Accreditation acquisition. Jessica has expertise in regulatory compliance, quality assurance, performance improvement, human resource managment and facilitating in-service training for personnel.

Ryan Ley
Chief Medical Officer M.D.
Dr. Ley is a Triple Board-Certified Medical Doctor who comes to us with years of experience as an addiction psychiatrist. He is passionate about the recovery of those who suffer from mental health and substance abuse disorders and has a vision of increasing the success rate of those entering treatment. Dr. Ley believes in Sober Life’s vision of making sobriety fun, hip, cool and brings his down to earth style into treating clients.

Dustin Kessler
Clinical Therapist MA, CADC-III
Dustin has been working in addiction treatment for over 7 years, with a BA in Psychology and over 8 years of his own personal recovery journey. He prefers to think of this profession as a calling and purpose in life. His vision of helping others shines with a passion for those struggling with addiction and mental health. Providing a safe, authentic place to work through issues is paramount and supporting you to find a future of self-determination, acceptance, hope, and excitement for the life to come that recovery has to offer. Dustin is currently completing his MA in marriage & family therapy.

Marissa Dvorscak
Director of Adolescent Programs MS, LMFT
Ms. Munteanu has extensive experience working with teens/young adults and their families with over 14 years of experience in the mental health and addiction fields. She offers Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Client Centered Treatment modalities. Her years of experience in the mental health field working for a variety of agencies has afforded her vast knowledge of resources available in the community, as well as a wide variety of treatment modalities that can be used with different populations and mental health challenges. She believes incredible power can be gained from others so to rebuild trust for ourselves and in humanity.

Mark Winterman
Licensed Clinical Therapist MSW, LCSW
After a long and circuitous journey, Mark attended the University of Southern California where he earned master’s degrees in social work and gerontology in 1980. He is grateful for how his professional skills and tools combine with his own painful and joyful life lessons to allow for empathically helping clients reach their goals. Specifically, Mark is passionate about using his mental health expertise along with personal and professional excitement about recovery to help clients find relief from long-standing emotional pain and negative consequences which accompany substance and behavioral addictions. Mark is pleased to have joined the talented and committed staff of Sober Life Recovery Solutions.

Alessandra Szekir
Lead Clinical Therapist MSW, LCSW
Psychotherapy has always been Alessandra’s passion. Providing individual and group psychotherapy to the LGBTQ community and clients experiencing substance use disorders, abuse, trauma, and mental illness has empowered her to thrive professionally. During sessions, she focuses on helping clients to understand their inner conflicts and find new ways to alleviate and deal with distress. Her goal is to support clients in making positive changes in the way they think and behave. Practicing mindfulness and self-care is the basis of what she uses to assist clients into leading a healthy and successful life.

Sean Brannan
Licensed Clinical Therapist MS, CHT, LMFT
Sean is a certified cognitive-behavioral hypnotherapist, and licensed marriage & family therapist. He has a private practice counseling agency and previously worked as a certified anger management/domestic violence facilitator. Sean is also an award-winning abstract artist who has taught art and has led art workshops for adults and at-risk youth throughout his career. He is passionate about counseling psychology and the healing arts profession and shows this through his work with clients.

Deomel Soriano
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner PMHNP-C, RN, MSN
Deomel is a licensed and board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. He has worked as a mental health associate, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Registered Nurse and now as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Having witnessed and experienced healthcare at different levels, Deomel is further motivated to treat individuals. He truly believes that each patient is unique and has different needs; therefore, the services they receive should be tailored to the individual. With proper treatment, people suffering from mental illness and addiction can live a healthy and productive life.

Jason Yniguez
Clinical Therapist, Associate Marriage & Family Therapist MA, AMFT
Jason spent time in the United States Army, which ultimately lead him into the field of psychology. He received his MA in counseling psychology from National University with specializations in marriage and family therapy and professional clinical counseling. In his down time, he spends it with his wife and kids or working out.

Ashley Roberts
Clinical Therapist, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist MA, AMFT
Ashley is a California State University San Marcos graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Ashley received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in 2020. Ashley utilizes CBT, DBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to promote client awareness around thoughts and feelings, build healthy coping skills, and support clients in living meaningful and value-driven lives.

Lindsay Poole
Licensed Clinical therapist MSW, LCSW
Lindsay is a University of Massachusetts Boston graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Lindsay received a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University in 2015. Lindsay utilizes CBT, DBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help clients heal from negative thoughts and experiences, move towards living meaningful value driven lives, and reaching their full potential.

Rebecca Bogner
Clinical Therapist, Associate Clinical Social Worker MS, MSW
Rebecca received her B.S. in Psychology from North Dakota State University and her Masters from Boston College. Rebecca has been in the mental health field for over 10 years working in all facets and roles affording her a unique and comprehensive lens to serve the community. As a therapist, Rebecca prioritizes client-centered, trauma-informed approaches with respect for diverse backgrounds while offering humor, psychoeducation, and practical coping strategies to increase healthy behaviors, self-awareness, and self-compassion.

Kimberly McLaughlin
Admissions Coordinator BS, CDAC-1
Kim has always been passionate about helping others find recovery, happiness, and acceptance. After earning a business degree from UNLV, she decided to further her education at UCSD to aid those suffering from addiction and mental health challenges. Kim is pursuing a future in clinical therapy and hopes to positively impact the lives of her clients every day by acknowledging their strengths, opportunities, and gifts. She fundamentally believes all individuals have the power and capability to be the person they truly want to be.

Sammy Joyce
Behavioral Health Technician (Certified SUD Peer recovery mentor)
Sammy is one of the first faces you’ll see when you come to Sober Life. She is living proof that this program works if you’re committed, willing, honest, and thorough. Sammy was the first to graduate from Sober Life and working with others struggling with addiction and mental health conditions. She has a big heart for people and wants nothing but the best and success for others who are struggling. She brings a vibrant and positive energy to treatment and focuses on demonstrating through her own experiences that a sober life can be a fun, beautiful, and wonderful thing.

Lauren O'Neal
Clinical Therapist, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist MA, AMFT
Lauren is a California State University San Marcos graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Science in 2018. Lauren received a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University in 2022. Lauren utilizes a strength based and client centered approach to support clients finding alignment within their values. “We are all unique individuals down from our background to our experiences. Metaphorically, I consider myself the lantern used as a guide to support you on your personal wellness journey."

Drew Kesslin
Adolescent Behavioral Coach BS
Drew is a recent graduate from the College of Health and Human Sciences at Colorado State University. She obtained a Bachelor of Science for Human Development and Family Studies with concentrations in Prevention and Intervention Sciences and Leadership and Entrepreneurial Professions. Drew is passionate about being a positive role model to youth and ensuring their success. Drew is extremely creative and loves helping others explore their creativity.

Daniel Hill

Dan is one of our overachieving alumni. Being a Graduate of sober life and having the opportunity to be with others going through the same process brings him fulfillment. He brings a non-judgemental and positive attitude with him everywhere he goes! Helping others to discover lives they never thought possible is his favorite part of work! Dan has a huge heart and genuinely wants to see every client achieve greatness during and after treatment.
