Positive Living Strategies For Adolescent Health
Depression, social anxiety, and stress are some of the main issues adolescents deal with today.
One of the methods, which Healthy U is proudly employing, is to treat these issues with a positive living strategies program. Positive living strategies is a life skills program that helps teens take charge of their lives again.

Comprehensive Training Techniques
Positive Living Strategies Training is a treatment that requires many different therapies and assistance. At Healthy U, we have put together a service that covers every aspect of positive living strategy treatment.
Our team has worked hard to ensure that clients are prepared to step into any social situation with strength and stability.
Roleplay and behavioral reversal to practice new skills and reenact simulated social situations

Know that while we focus on positive living strategies, that is not all we do. We make sure that clients can take care of their mental health and emotional wellbeing.
Healthy U prides itself on using evidenced based therapies that get to the root cause of the issue and treat the mental issues and emotional issues that adolescents are challenged with on a daily basis.
What To Expect In Treatment
At Healthy U, we have a five-step process to help adolescents get social skills and improve their mental health.
Step One: Self-Refer or be referred by a professional
From there, we will help you set up an initial appointment during which your teen will come in and speak with one of our therapists or professionals to learn more about how our positive living strategies program can help.
Step Two: Pre-screen Process of Caregiver(s) and Adolescent
This helps us to identify specific target areas for your teenager’s individualized treatment and care. Since everyone has different needs and challenges, we make sure to do a comprehensive assessment so that we can provide treatment that is truly relevant to your teenager’s daily life encounters.
Step Three: Complete Intake Evaluation and Commitment Contract
Once the skills assessment is completed and we have a clear idea of what our target areas are, we will get started crafting a collaborative treatment plan. We will begin introducing your teenager to methods for improving their social skills.
We tend to keep each session to one focus area so as not to overwhelm our clients. We want to make sure that everyone who comes to our treatment center is set up for ongoing success with their mental health recovery.
From there, we will help you set up an initial appointment during which your adolescent will come in and speak with one of our therapists or professionals to learn more about how our positive living strategies program can help.
Step Four: Initiate Treatment
After we create your teenager’s game plan, it is time for us to get started with our work. We will have therapists model behaviors and skills and help break down complex conversations and social skills. We will go over verbal and nonverbal behaviors, helping adolescents to feel comfortable with all kinds of social situations.
On occasion, we will assign homework so that your adolescent can keep practicing his or her new skills and can make improvements even when he or she is not in the treatment center.
This helps us to identify specific target areas for your adolescent’s individualized treatment and care. Since everyone has different needs and challenges, we make sure to do a comprehensive assessment so that we can provide treatment that is truly relevant to your teenager’s daily life encounters.
Step Five: Engagement, Education, and Follow-up
Part of your treatment includes follow up care and treatment. We will periodically check in with your teenager to make sure that everything is moving smoothly and that your adolescent is making progress with his or her treatment.
If we need to, we will make adjustments to the treatment plan or prescribe additional follow up care to help your teen continue his or her healing journey.
The expected treatment timeline is approximately a 60-90 day commitment.
